iimt at the 3rd NEST conference

The 3rd Network of Early career researchers in Sustainable Transitions (NEST) conference took place on March 15th and 16th at the Copernicus Institute of Utrecht University, Utrecht, Netherlands; with the iimt being represented by Dr. Anton Sentic, who was also one of the founding members of the NEST and is still active as part of the network’s steering committee.

The conference brought together 70 early career researchers from across Europe as well as a few intercontinental participants, and consisted of peer-reviewed presentations by the participants as well as skills-oriented workshops and two keynote speeches by leading academics from the Transitions Studies field.

Anton participated in the conference with a presentation titled “Challenges for combined heat and power in highly developed urban settings: A transitions-based review of the factors influencing urban CHP development in London” which combined findings from his doctoral research project with a focus on innovation niches reflected and continued in his current work at the iimt. Further, as part of the network steering committee he participated in committee meetings, including the selection process for the next conference location and organizing team.
