Many organizations have recognized the value of analyzing data based on quantitative tools for forecasting outcomes such as sales or prices (predictive analysis) or for evaluating the causal effect of specific actions such as offering discounts (causal analysis). The “Fribourg Winter School in Data Analytics and Machine Learning”, taking place from Feb 8^th to 19^th 2021, provides training in quantitative tools such as regression and machine learning for predictive and causal analysis.  The one- to three-days-courses cover both introductory and more advanced topics, using the open-source software packages “Python”, “R”, and “Knime”.
