Is democracy a compelling investment case? Prof. Dr. Sébastien Mena participated in this event on how impact investors can sustain businesses that work to support democracy. This event was organized by FASE (Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship) on April 2nd. Sébastien presented, among others, the emerging results of the Rebalance Horizon Europe research project, of which he is a member. The key points of the event are summarized in this article.

European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium in Athens, July 3-5, 2025. Prof. Dr. Sébastien Mena will participate in the colloquium in several capacities. He will convene the sub-theme Reimagining Democracy in Management and Organization Studies together with Elisa Giuliani, University of Pisa, and Andy Crane), University of Bath. More than 20 papers examining democracy in various forms in and around organizations will be presented. Sébastien will also present the emerging results from the Rebalance project on this occasion.

In another sub-theme on activism, Sébastien, together with Johanna Mair, Melisa Oezcelik & Josefa Kindt (Hertie School of Governance), will also present a paper entitled “Political innovation: Unconventional forms of political action”.
