Jonas Baur and Esteban Courbet, two PhD students at the DCM, have received the newly established Norstat Academic Grant. The funding allows them to do survey research with Norstat and DemoSCOPE. They will conduct research together with Alexandra Feddersen titled When Politicians Change Their Minds: Private-Life Justifications and Voter Reactions to Political Repositioning. This research analyzes the reactions of voters in Switzerland when politicians change their position on climate change. Specifically, different justifications for such position changes will be evaluated.
