From February to April 2026, Aina Errando from the \u201cStudies in Media, Innovation & Technology\u201d research group (SMIT) at Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) is a visiting scholar at the DCM. She is hosted by Prof. Manuel Puppis as part of the joint WEAVE-project \u201cUnderstanding algorithmic gatekeepers to promote epistemic welfare\u201d funded by SNSF and FWO.
Her PhD project revolves around algorithms in media strategies, particularly within the realm of news recommender systems and news personalization.
Aina has a background in journalism and communication, a Master\u2019s degree in Political Science: International and European Governance (VUB), an Advanced Master\u2019s in European Integration (BSOG), and a Master\u2019s in digital and data journalism (Nebrija University).<\/p>\n
